Continuing Professional Development

The Courts Administration Authority (CAA) is committed to supporting practitioners through the CAA’s transition to CourtSA and will be providing information sessions.

In preparation for the launch of CourtSA in the civil jurisdiction various information sessions will be held for Practice Managers and Practitioners.

On 17 December 2019, Practitioners attended an information session at the Law Society titled ‘Civil CourtSA - An Overview’. The session was presented by the Honorary Justice Blue and chaired by the Honorary Chief Justice Kourakis. The session provided an introduction to CourtSA and an overview of the Uniform Civil Rules.

On 30 January 2020, there will be an information session at the Law Society for practice managers on ‘How to Prepare for CourtSA’. This will be the first part of a two part series for Practice Managers. It will focus on the administrative side of CourtSA including account set up, case access, payments, information on what can be lodged online and what needs to be lodged over the counter and transitional arrangements.
