The Courts Administration Authority (CAA) is committed to supporting industry practitioners through the CAA’s transition to CourtSA. View of participants at the Probate Session

In preparation for the launch of CourtSA in the Probate jurisdiction, various information sessions were held for Probate practitioners. The sessions are aimed at developing practitioners’ knowledge and understanding of the new system, and enhancing their proficiency in lodging and managing applications through CourtSA for their clients.

On Thursday 6 September 2018, Probate practitioners attended an information session at the Law Society on Demystifying CourtSA. More than 100 practitioners attended the session with a further 158 taking part in a webinar.

On Wednesday, 17 October 2018, Registrar Roder demonstrated how to lodge a grant of probate and the associated Rule and process changes. This was followed by a Q&A session with practitioners on Thursday 18 October 2018.

On Thursday 8 November 2018, the CAA offered an information session to sole practitioners, practice managers and administration staff titled CourtSA – the Operational Side.

The session demonstrated the various functions that can be performed using CourtSA’s easy online interface. These included actions such as creating a firm account, submitting an application, making payment, viewing notifications, requesting access to a case and searching for a case

Over 200 participants attended in person at the Law Society as well as remotely via webinar.
