COVID-19 – Listing Update – MOUNT GAMBIER MAGISTRATES COURT
for listings between 19 November 2020 to 2 December 2020 (inclusive)
The Mount Gambier Magistrates Court Building will be closed from Thursday 19 November 2020 to Tuesday 24 November 2020 (inclusive).
- For the period of 19 November 2020 to 2 December 2020 (the period) the Adelaide Magistrates Court will hear the overnight custodies and urgent Intervention Order applications.
- No civil matters will be heard,
- THE BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED FROM 19 NOVEMBER 2020 to 24 NOVEMBER 2020,
APPEARANCES
- SAPOL will appear via AVL
- All legal representation to appear via telephone link
Normal listings are due to recommence on 3 December 2020, to be heard in Adelaide Magistrates Court via AVL.
DEFENDANTS IN CUSTODY
Will be heard via AVL from their institutions if AVL is reinstated by the Department for Correctional Services. If urgent, matters will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
GUILTY PLEAS/SENTENCING DISCOUNT
COVID restrictions will be taken into consideration in relation to sentencing discounts.
TRIALS
All trials for next 2 weeks are vacated and relisted in 2021. Date to be confirmed.
CIRCUITS
All circuits will be cancelled between 19 November 2020 to 2 December 2020 – responsible Registry locations will make appropriate relisting arrangements.
