ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE YOUTH COURT OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA REGARDING CARE AND PROTECTION PROCEEDINGS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The following arrangements will in place for the Adelaide Youth Court care and protection proceedings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This process will only be operational between the hours of 8.45 and 4.45pm Monday to Friday and will be in accordance with time frame and service requirements outlined in the Youth Court (Care and Protection) Rules 2018. This process will eliminate the necessity for any document to be physically tendered. There will be page limit of 100 pages on documents that can be received electronically.
Trial books will not be accepted electronically and must be lodged in accordance with rule 17 of the Youth Court (Care and Protection) Rules 2018.
Applications
The Youth Court will accept care and protection applications electronically (youthcourt@courts.sa.gov.au): the document will be printed out, date stamped, scanned in (as PDF) and then return emailed to the AGD positional mailbox (AGD:CSO Youth Court Orders) . The document will not be considered accepted until it is date stamped by the Youth Court.
