Sheriff’s officer in that courtroom.

There are two interview rooms available.
Ask a Sheriff’s officer for directions.

There are two coin-operated gold phones in the court foyer.
What
is the policy on mobile phones in the courthouse?
All phones MUST be turned off.

Opposite courts 3 and 4.

Yes, there are machine selling soft drinks and snack foods.
Are
there cafes near the courthouse?
There are cafes on North East Road, a five minute walk west of the court.

is the nearest public transport?
There are bus stops close by on North East Road and Sudholz Road.
Is
there carparking available near the courthouse?
There is free, off-street parking nearby.

is the nearest taxi rank to the courthouse?
The nearest taxi rank is too far away to be of use.
It is better to phone for a taxi if you need one.
What
security procedures are in place at the courthouse?
Uniformed Sheriff’s officers maintain security in the courthouse, as well
as acting as court orderlies. All
Sheriff’s officers are trained to provide a safe environment for everyone in
the courthouse.
Everyone
who enters the courthouse walks through an airport style metal detector.
You may also be scanned with a hand-held metal detector.
Nothing that could be used in an offensive manner is allowed into the
building. This includes things like
pocket knives. If in doubt, ask a
Sheriff’s officer.
Can
I have a private waiting room if necessary?
There is a room for victims of crimes room.
If you require extra security, Sheriff’s officers can be made
available.
How
can I get an interpreter?
Please call the Listings Manager to arrange for an interpreter. Please give as much notice as you can.
