How can I find the relevant Development Plan?
Each local council is responsible for controlling development in its area. It does that by maintaining a Development Plan which:
sets out the planning and development principles and objectives for the whole area
often divides the area into zones, and
sets out the principles and objectives for each zone.
All applications for development are judged against the relevant plan.

Your local council will have copies of the Development Plan available for you to inspect.
