The CAA Library Service is responsible for developing and maintaining libraries that serve the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Courts, Youth Court and Environment, Resources and Development Court. These libraries are located throughout South Australia including suburban and regional locations.

The Library Service provides legal literature and a comprehensive reference and research service to assist the judiciary and court staff in the proper administration of justice. The Supreme Court Library, which is the second oldest government-funded library in South Australia,  is also a public access library and is the major law resource for legal practitioners and the general public in South Australia.

Location

The Supreme Court Library is located on the second floor of the Library Building at 1 Gouger Street, Adelaide.  Enter through the courtyard on Gouger Street between the main Supreme Court building and Jeffcott Chambers.

Opening times

Open to the public between 9am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.  The Library is closed on weekends and public holidays.
