Committal and Arraignment dates for
Supreme and District Courts

Persons committed for trial or sentence in Adelaide, whether in custody or on bail, shall appear before the Court on the first working day of the first week after the expiration of 28 days from their committal for trial or sentence.

2. Persons committed for trial or sentence at a place other than Adelaide, whether in custody or on bail, shall appear before the Court on the first working day of the first week of the first week of the sittings next after the expiration of 28 days from their committal for trial or sentence.
(Supreme Court Criminal Rules 3.02; District Court Rules IV-3.02)
Commencing in 2000 there is only one date for both the Supreme and District Criminal circuits. It is planned to run continuous circuits in the higher courts and this one date helps facilitate this.
