Christmas opening hours

Please be advised of Court operating hours over the Christmas period:

Supreme Court:
The Supreme Court will close at 4.30pm on 24 December 2010. Criminal and civil trials will resume on Monday 10 January 2011.

District Court:
The District Court will close at 4.30pm on 24 December 2010. Arraignments, criminal and civil trials will resume on Monday 10 January 2010.

Environment, Resources & Development Court

The Environment, Resources and Development Court will close at 4.30pm on 24 December, 2010. Conferences and hearings will resume on Monday 10 January 2010.

Supreme, District and ERD Court Registry

The combined registry in the Sir Samuel Way building will close at 4.30pm on 24 December 2010 and reopen on Tuesday 4 January 2011.

Magistrates Court:

Magistrates Courts are open every day over the Christmas period (9am to 5pm ) except for public holidays. Criminal and civil trials resume on Tuesday 4 January 2011.

Youth Court:

The Youth Court is open except on public holidays. Trials will resume on Monday 10 January 2011.

Coroner’s Court:

At this stage no inquests will be held between 20 December 2010 and 17 January 2011.

The Media and Communications Office will close at 1pm on 24 December 2010 until Monday 10 January 2011. For queries on Magistrates Court matters during that period please ring the Contact Centre on (08) 8204 2444.
