Christmas opening hours

Please be advised of Court operating hours over the Christmas period:

Supreme Court:
The Supreme Court will close at 4.30pm on 23 December 2011. Criminal and civil trials will resume on Monday 9 January 2012.

District Court:
The District Court will close at 4.30pm on 23 December 2011. Arraignments, criminal and civil trials will resume on Monday 9 January 2012.

Environment, Resources & Development Court

The Environment, Resources and Development Court will close at 4.30pm on 23 December, 2011. Conferences and hearings will resume on Monday 9 January 2012.

Supreme, District and ERD Court Registry

The combined registry in the Sir Samuel Way building will close at 4.30pm on 23 December 2011 and reopen on Tuesday 3 January 2012.

Magistrates Court:

Magistrates Courts are open every day over the Christmas period (9am to 5pm ) except for public holidays. Criminal and civil trials resume on Tuesday 3 January 2012.

Youth Court:

The Youth Court is open except on public holidays. Trials will resume on Tuesday 3 January 2012.

Coroner’s Court:

At this stage no inquests will be held between 22 December 2011 and 24 January 2012.

The Media and Communications Office will close at 1pm on 23 December 2011 until Monday 9 January 2012. For queries on Magistrates Court matters during that period please ring the Contact Centre on (08) 8204 2344.
