Please be advised of Court operating hours over the Christmas period:

Supreme, Probate, District and ERD Court Registry
The combined criminal registry, the combined civil registry and the ERD court registry in the Sir Samuel Way building and the Probate registry will close at 4.30pm on Thursday, 24 December 2020. The registry will re-open on Monday, 4 January 2021.

Supreme Court:
Supreme Court matters will resume in the week commencing 11 January 2021. There will be a Supreme Court Judge on call over the court closure period.

District Court:
District Court hearings will resume in the week commencing 11 January 2021. There will be a District Court Judge on call over the court closure period.

Environment, Resources and Development Court:
Environment, Resources and Development Court hearings will resume the week commencing 11 January 2021.

Magistrates Court:
City, metropolitan and permanently staffed country registries will operate every day, 9am to 5pm, throughout the Christmas period except for public holidays. On 29, 30 and 31 December 2020 the Court will only sit at Adelaide and Elizabeth Magistrates Courts to hear custody matters from across the State. Normal court listings will resume on Monday, 4 January 2021. Magistrates will continue to operate a 24-hour telephone service during the Christmas period.

Youth Court:
The Youth Court registry is open (except on public holidays) to hear custody matters and urgent removals under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017.

Coroner’s Court:
The Coroner’s Office is open except on public holidays. At this stage, no inquests will be held between 24 December 2020 and 4 January 2021.
