A statement from the Honourable Chris Kourakis, Chief Justice of South Australia
I am pleased to announce the appointment of two Independent Members of the State Courts Administration Council (Council).
Dr Tahnya Donaghy and Mr Brian Morris were appointed on the 6th of March 2024 to the Council pursuant to sections 7(1)(g) and 7(1c) of the Courts Administration Act 1993.
Dr Donaghy was selected as an Independent Member by Council after a targeted expression of interest and interview process. Dr Donaghy has held senior executive roles in the South Australian public service and will bring extensive public administration experience to Council.
Mr Morris has been a consultant to Council since 2014 and has chaired Council’s Audit and Risk Management Committee. Council nominated Mr Morris as the second independent member due to his recognised significant financial and audit expertise.
Council and I welcome Dr Donaghy and Mr Morris and look forward to their contribution in the coming years.
