Before making an Application, please read the section relating to ‘Access to Court Documents‘ and ‘Documents that can be accessed‘.
Every application to the Courts Administration Authority for access to a document under the South Australian Freedom of Information Act must:
- be in writing
- specify that it is made under the Act
- include your name and contact address
- identify the document(s) you want to access
- specify the type of access you require (eg photocopy, inspection, etc)
- include an application fee
- specify if you are financially disadvantaged (supporting documents are necessary)
- be mailed to the Freedom of Information Officer.
You may submit an online application via facilities provided at SA.GOV.AU
Every application to the Courts Administration Authority to amend a document under the South Australian Freedom of Information Act must:
- be in writing
- specify that it is made under the Act
- include your name and contact address
- identify the document(s) you want to amend
- identify what information contained in the document(s) is incomplete, incorrect, out-of-date or misleading
- specify the information necessary to bring the document(s) up to date
- be mailed to the Freedom of Information Officer
You may submit an online application via facilities provided at SA.GOV.AU
All fees and charges are determined by Statute and are set out in the Regulations under the Freedom of Information Act 1991, Schedule 1:
- the application fee must accompany all applications
- cheques should be made payable to: “Courts Administration Authority”
Fees and charges may be waived for those who are financially disadvantaged. (refer Regulations Under the FOI Act 1991 (SA), R.5)
